The ministry said, 'This biological institute is a world renowned research and development agency which relies on experienced researchers and scientists with extensive knowledge and excellent infrastructure. More than 50 experienced scientists are working in the institute to develop research and medical treatment for the virus. The Institute of Biological Research at Ness Giona was established under the Defense Force Science Corps of Israel in 1952 and later became a civil organization. According to the newspaper, technically this institute is under the supervision of the Prime Minister's Office but it keeps close communication with the Ministry of Defense.
