The Uttar Pradesh government has been alerted by the growing outbreak in neighboring states of Rajasthan and Punjab. Precaution has also been issued in UP. The Department of Agriculture has issued advisories to the adjoining districts of Rajasthan including Mathura and Agra, as well as border districts Shamli, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Baghpat adjoining the state of Haryana after Punjab.

The advisory states that immediate steps should be taken by following the advice issued by the Regional Central Integrated Drug Management Center about controlling or destroying locusts. To control the fire brigade has been kept on alert, hundreds of fire brigade vehicles were deployed. In the neighboring state of Punjab, for the control of locusts, fire brigade vehicles are spraying pesticides including malathion. Also, DJs are playing songs from older speakers. The Rajasthan government has also introduced such spraying from Jaisalmer to other border districts. On the other hand, locusts are being killed by lighting pits or by making trenches at different places at night from the integrated pesticide center.
The central agency team has left Lucknow to control the locusts. A team of experts from Lucknow-based Regional Nashiv Management Center has reached Jaisalmer, Rajasthan a week ago to support their Delhi team. The second team of this center is leaving for Suratgarh in Rajasthan on Thursday. Team members will take measures to destroy locusts through integrated management. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, the in-charge of the center, says that there have been attacks of locusts coming from Pakistan in the past, but this time the trend of moving them is much faster. It is possible that this happened due to lack of pollution due to lockdown or due to farmers not taking effective steps. But this time our teams are ready. So that our farmers do not suffer much.
Chief Minister Gehlot asked for help from the center

Has started again. Gehlot said that the outbreak of locusts has already started in Rajasthan. Farmers in the state are facing the outbreak of locusts and crops have been destroyed due to locust attack in many districts.
